Draft updated: October 6, 2026

Draft for review: AwesomeAPI retention practices, hosting and receipt of support emails must be confirmed before publication.

In short: the app needs no account and doesn’t send the developer the numbers you enter, photos, history or preferences. It sends currency codes to AwesomeAPI to fetch rates. Apple handles purchases. If you email us, we handle your message as described below.

Who is responsible

FinBrisk is developed by Bill Valadão. For any privacy question, write to suporte.finbrisk@bvbytestudio.com.

What the app sends over the internet

On Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, including the watch face complication, Currency makes two kinds of HTTPS requests to AwesomeAPI (economia.awesomeapi.com.br):

RequestWhat is sent
Current rateOnly the currency codes, for example USD-BRL,EUR-BRL.
Last 7 days, for the chartOnly the currency pair code.

These requests don’t add the numbers you enter, images or your account identifiers. As with any internet request, the rate provider receives the connection’s IP address. The developer doesn’t receive that IP address from the app. AwesomeAPI retention and use of this metadata still need confirmation; this draft does not claim the provider does not store it.

What stays on your devices

The app stores this data locally. FinBrisk doesn’t send it to the developer. History has no automatic deletion period; older entries are replaced after the 30-entry limit. Watch tool values remain until edited. FinBrisk relies on system protection, without its own encryption for these data; backups depend on Apple settings and may retain copies after local deletion.

Offer reading

On Mac, you can drag or paste an image into the hidden interest check. On iPhone and iPad, you can use the camera, choose a photo, or paste an image or text. Apple’s Vision technology recognizes the text on the device. FinBrisk doesn’t upload the image or keep its own library of imported photos. The system manages temporary selection or transfer files. Copy and paste use the Apple clipboard at your request; Universal Clipboard may synchronise its content according to your settings.

Purchases and trial

The Pro purchase and the 14-day trial are handled by Apple on the App Store. The app verifies transactions through StoreKit, including the transaction identifier and purchase date. We don’t receive your card details or your Apple ID. The trial lasts 14 days from the verified transaction and does not start a subscription or automatic charge when it ends. That data is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

What FinBrisk doesn’t do

This website

The FinBrisk pages at bvbytestudio.com/finbrisk don’t use cookies, analytics or third-party resources such as external fonts or scripts. The only thing the site stores in your browser is whether you dismissed the language notice. The hosting provider may log technical access data, such as IP address and browser, for the site’s security and operation.

If you email support, we use your message and address to reply. If you ask for a launch notice, we use your address for that notice; a support message doesn’t sign you up automatically. You can ask to access, correct or delete those messages through the contact address above.

Children

The app asks for no account and doesn’t send the developer information entered by children or adults.

Your rights

The developer can’t access data stored locally by the app; you can delete history in Calculator while your Pro or trial access is active; without that access, Calculator is locked and history stays local. For emails you sent us, ask to access, correct or delete them by writing to suporte.finbrisk@bvbytestudio.com.

Changes to this policy

If FinBrisk ever handles data differently, this page will be updated before the change takes effect, with the new date at the top.
